The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it really is alarmed with regards to the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The support issue created for intervention encounters a high inflow of likely beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more sources to empower the servicing of all read more consumers and raise entry to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
